The church, whose construction began in the 13th century and was completed during the English occupation of Calais. This is the only example of French Gothic style buildings in France. The temple has a fortress-like appearance, with a bastion and turrets resembling a defensive gate. It is a cross-plan building with a massive square tower over the intersection of naves. Inside, you can see the carved high altar from the 17th century and a painting by Rubens showing a picture from the Cross.
