Fort des Têtes

The fortress belongs to a group of buildings supervised by Sébastien Le Prestre de Vaubana, a genius of fortification design, whose works are on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The eighteenth-century fort, located at an altitude of 1440 m above sea level, was built to control the Fontenil and Fontchristiane valleys.
