Bormes-les-Mimosas is a town on the Mediterranean Sea. It consists of an old quarter that slopes down the slopes of the hills to the very coast and a picturesque peninsula and beaches. It is the summer residence of the presidents of France.

The village has medieval roots and you can see many historical buildings in the old place. The atmosphere is typical of coastal towns, there are numerous cafes, restaurants, compact, colorful buildings and narrow cobbled streets. What distinguishes Bormes-les-Mimosas from other coastal towns is its flowers. In addition to mimosa, from which it takes its name, there are also other ornamental trees and shrubs, and houses are decorated with potted flowers. The coastal Mimosa Trail starts in the village and leads to Grasse.

The Old Town descends almost to the coast, which is occupied by a picturesque peninsula. The seaside district of La Faviere is here. The beaches below are the biggest attraction in Bormes-les-Mimosas. Due to its picturesque location and tranquility, in 1968 this place was chosen as the summer residence of the presidents of France. Currently, when it is not in use, it can be visited for a small fee.
