St. Louis Cathedral

The construction of the late Gothic cathedral began in 1544 and lasted intermittently until the end of the 17th century. The most surprising and spectacular part of the building is the belfry towering over the city, which was built on the foundations of a much older Romanesque temple dating back to the 12th century.
