The lighthouse stands on a rocky slope at an altitude of 75 m above sea level, from where there is a view of the entire city. The building has the shape of a cylindrical tower set on an octagonal base. It measures 47 m in height. The lighthouse was built in the 1830s and is now on the list of national monuments.
