The first town hall was built in the years 1551-1600 - the present building is the work of architects Pierre-Louis Beffar and Jean-Jacques Jumel-Riquier from 1756. The present form of the building was obtained during the expansion in the middle of the 19th century. The historic halls of the town hall, including the signing site of the famous Peace of Amiens from 1802, are open to visitors.
