Basilica of Notre-Dame de Brebières

The neo-Byzantine basilica was built in 1897 according to a design by Edmond Duthoit. The 62-meter high belfry is crowned with a statue of the Virgin Mary - a symbol of Marian devotion, alive since the 11th century, which made the city of Albert one of the most important pilgrimage sites in France.
