Kittilä is a town beyond the Arctic Circle in Lapland. There is a polar day in summer and a polar night in winter. The famous Levi ski resort is located in the village.
The city is known as having the lowest temperature in Finland, -51.5 degrees Celsius. Due to its location, winter conditions prevail here for over half a year. The biggest attraction of Kittilä is the Oy Levi ski resort, with over 40 ski slopes, a snow park, and cross-country ski runs. In winter, you can admire the Northern Lights in Kittilä, which is an additional attraction of staying in this place. One of the accommodation options in the village is the so-called Snow Village, where the apartments are built of snow.
In summer, the area around Kittilä is very quiet. People who like to relax in the bosom of nature, away from the crowds come here mainly.
