The town church in Jyväskylä was built in 1880 according to the design of the architect Ludvig Isak Lindqvist. It replaced an older, wooden temple, which was pulled down in 1888. Its architecture shows both neo-Romanesque and neo-gothic elements. The semicircular windows, rosette and ornaments on brick walls are eye-catching. The church is surrounded by a small but picturesque park.
