Abu Simbel Temples

The complex includes the Great Temple of Ramses II and the Temple of Nefertari. They were built in the 13th century BC, during the reign of Ramses II. Due to the construction of the Aswan Dam, both temples were moved 65 m higher than they were originally. The complex has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
