The extensive park is the largest and oldest park in the city. It was founded on the coast, where it borders the seaside promenade. Among the long alleys there are playgrounds for children, restaurants and discos. There is also a summer theater and two outdoor stages. In summer, concerts and other cultural events are organized regularly.
Sports lovers will find a swimming complex with two outdoor pools and one indoor pool. There is also a sports center with football, volleyball, basketball and badminton fields, as well as a tennis court and a fencing room. There is a pedalo rental at the lake. There are also water slides and a paddling pool for children.
There are many monuments in the park dedicated to, among others Bulgarian astronauts, sportsmen, soldiers and fighters who died in the fight against fascists in 1923-1944. You can also see the monuments of Nicolaus Copernicus, Ivan Vazov or Anton Novak.
