The chocolate village already existed in the 19th century, when Belgium began to become a chocolate giant on a global scale. Currently, in a historic Art Nouveau building that once housed the Biscuiteries Chocolateries Victoria factory, a museum dedicated exclusively to chocolate was located. Visitors can learn about the chocolate production process and history, take part in chocolate workshops, and taste and buy dozens of chocolate and praline species.
The biggest attraction of the permanent exhibition of the museum are models of the most famous buildings and sculptures of Brussels made of the best Belgian chocolate. One of them is the famous model of the atom - in the original a gigantic structure prepared for the World Exhibition in 1958.
The chocolate village offers special shows during which visitors watch confectionery masters making pralines. There is also a tropical greenhouse in the village, where cocoa trees grow.
