Wilhering Church and Abbey

The Cistercian monastery is famous for its great decorations, considered by some historians as the greatest achievement of the Rococo style in German-speaking countries. The interior is filled with hundreds of sculptures, paintings and stucco, whose authors were a large group of eighteenth-century artists, including the famous painter of frescoes, Martin Altomonte.
