Local name: Spinnerin am Kreuz

The 21-meter Gothic column was created in the years 1382-1384 on behalf of the mayor Wolfhart von Schwarzensee. The building was designed by Michael Knab, who is also credited with erecting a very similar column from the same period in the Wien-Favoriten district.
