A modern cable car connects the historic city center with the Hungerburg district. The route is 1.8 km long and usually takes about 8 minutes to cover. The lower station is located at an altitude of 569 m above sea level, and the mountain station 288 m above sea level. There is a picturesque viewpoint next to it, with a panorama of the city and the surrounding mountains.
