The modern viewing platform is located directly above the cliff at an altitude of 360 m. It has the form of a steel structure extending beyond the edge of the wall to a length of 12 m. It offers a panoramic view of the town of Hallstatt, the lake and the Dachstein Salzkammergut area, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
In front of the platform there are several benches from which you can also observe picturesque views of the area. In the neighborhood there is a restaurant serving local cuisine and hot drinks.
The platform can be reached on foot or by a comfortable roller coaster. When starting your hike from the city center, you should spend about 1.5 hours walking and remember to wear sturdy footwear. The cable car journey takes just 2 minutes.
