Rothschild Castle

Local name: Schloss Rothschild

The 13th-century Gothic castle became famous in 1875 when it was purchased by Albert Salomon Anselm von Rothschild (1844-1911). The banker placed here the headquarters of his numerous estates after a general reconstruction, which was supervised by Friedrich von Schmidt. It currently houses a historical museum.
