Fortaleza do Castro in Vigo is a historic fortress that was built during the Spanish-Portuguese War (1640-1668). Fragments of the defensive walls have survived to this day. Here you can stroll through the beautiful gardens among blooming flowers and well-kept lawns, sculptures and fountains. It is also an excellent vantage point.
