Eskilstuna Stadtmuseum

Eskilstuna City Museum is located in the center of Eskilstuna, in the former Carl Gustaf rifle factory. Permanent exhibitions are mainly devoted to the history of the city. Visitors can not only learn about Eskilstuna's past and see 18th-century costumes, but also try them on on their own.

Other exhibitions include the restored interior of a mechanical workshop from the beginning of the 20th century, which houses original lathes, milling machines and presses, as well as an armory with a collection of forged swords, sabers and other white weapons produced in the city.

You can also visit the steam locomotive hall, which houses a historic steam locomotive, a steam fire extinguisher and other machines used in municipal plants over the years.
