It is the largest park in Buzău, located on the outskirts of the city and adjacent to the deciduous forest of the same name. Mainly oaks, ash, linden, birch and maples grow there. There is an artificial lake in it, where you can swim in rented boats. There are three islands on it, and one of them can be reached via a small bridge.
In 1976, an obelisk was erected in the park, commemorating the 1600 years of the city's history. The sculpture is 26.8 meters high, and its foundations reach 14 meters deep. It was designed by the Romanian sculptor Gheorghe Comana. The park also has a children's playground and chess tables. In summer, discos and other events are organized here regularly.
The first records of the Crang forest date back to the 16th century, and the park itself was established at the end of the 19th century. At that time, there were walking paths, a restaurant building and an artificial lake were built there.
