Zambaccian Museum

Lokaler Name: Muzeul „Zambaccian”

The Zambaccian Museum in Bucharest is housed in the former home of Krikor Zambaccian, a Romanian businessman, art critic and collector of Armenian origin who lived from 1889 to 1962. Currently, it is one of the branches of the Museum of Fine Arts.

The collections gathered there include collections of paintings, sculptures, prints and furniture. There are works by Romanian artists as well as French Impressionists such as Eugene Delacroix and Pierre-Auguste Renoir. You can also see works by Pablo Picasso and Alfred Sisley.

One of the most interesting exhibits is the portrait of Zambaccian painted by Corneliu Baba. It is also worth mentioning that this is the only art museum in Romania with a painting by Paul Cézanne.
