Interaktives Fischereimuseum

Lokaler Name: Interaktywne Muzeum Rybactwa

The modern and interactive museum in an attractive way presents to visitors, among others various techniques and technologies of fishing, allows you to learn about the species and morphology of freshwater fish, as well as the flora and fauna of Polish lakes. The exhibition also gives an insight into the interior of a nineteenth-century fisherman's hut and enables a virtual cruise with an old fisherman. Another attraction is the open-air labyrinth made of fishing nets.

The Fisheries Museum in Biskupin is a private initiative of Dr. Eng. Henryk Sobolewski - ichthyologist and long-term president of the Fish Farm in Łysinin. At the exhibitions you can see his private collections, as well as learn about the history of the Farm he manages.

The museum was established to introduce visitors to the fishing culture, history of the exploitation of Polish lakes and the symbolism of fish in a modern, visually attractive and very accessible way.
