The first parish church in Zakopane, often called the "old church". It was built by highlanders. Therefore, it is worth paying attention to the altars created by the folk sculptor Wojciech Wawrzyniecok from Gliczarów. The temple is located on the Lesser Poland Wooden Architecture Trail, right next to the entrance to the famous cemetery in Pęksowy Brzyzek.
The temple, then still under the invocation of Saint Clement, was founded by the owner of the Zakopane property, Klementyna Homolacsowa. In the years 1850–1851, on the initiative of the first parish priest of Zakopane, Fr. Stolarczyk, the church was enlarged. At that time, a characteristic turret was added.
In 1930, the church was called by Our Lady of Częstochowa. It is a branch church of the Holy Family Parish. The interior can be seen during mass and excursions.
