Sonderreservat des Heiligen Berges Orta

Complex of chapels dedicated to St. Francis of Assisi belongs to the complex of the Holy Mountains of Lombardy and Piedmont, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The construction started in 1583 and was interrupted in 1788 - out of the planned 36 sacred buildings, 20 were built. These are buildings in the late Renaissance, baroque and eclectic styles.
