The 16th-century complex of 19 chapels belongs to the group of the Holy Mountains of Lombardy and Piedmont, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. 12 chapels, decorated with frescoes and statues, are dedicated to the life of the Madonna - the rest resemble important biblical themes. The complex is adjacent to the Marian sanctuary.
