The Helsinki Olympic Stadium is approximately 2.3 km from the city center. It is the largest sports stadium in the country. Football matches, athletics competitions and concerts are held there. It is the home stadium of the Finnish national team. In addition to the pitch, there are also 11 indoor exercise rooms, a hostel and the Finnish Sports Museum.

The Olympic Stadium was built between 1934 and 1938 according to the design of the architects Yrjö Lindegren and Toivo Jäntti. Currently, its capacity is 36,200 seats for sporting events and 45,000 for music concerts, with the 1952 Summer Olympics - thanks to temporary stands - holding more than 70,000 spectators.

When visiting the stadium, it is worth climbing the tower, which is open to visitors. It is 72.7 m high, and from its top you can admire the picturesque panorama of the city.
