Kloster und Schloss Salem

The magnate residence was established on the site of a medieval Cistercian monastery. The monastery passed into secular hands at the beginning of the 19th century, when the secularization of orders followed. Within the property there is a gothic monastery church and baroque residential and farm buildings with rich stucco and painting decorations.
