Sendlinger Straße
Sendlinger Straße is a famous shopping street in the center of Munich. Currently, the city's most modern pedestrian zone. You can find here The Hofstatt shopping center, which has an area of 18,000 square meters, offers numerous outdoor shops and great restaurants. Sendlinger Straße provides an extravagant shopping atmosphere.

One of the most important is Asamkirche, a Catholic church, one of the most beautiful churches in Munich, a pearl of late Baroque architecture and Rococo decorative art of southern Germany, and Sendlinger Tor, one of the three city gates preserved to this day, which was part of Munich's medieval defense system.
In 2009, the Munich City Council recognized that the 120-meter stretch between Hackenstraße and Färbergraben is becoming a pedestrian zone. Construction works began in 2012, and from July 1, 2016, Sendlinger Straße was officially recognized as a pedestrian zone.
