The sandy city beach lies between the center of Vejle and the district of Bredballe. This is a good place for a family afternoon. The descent to the water is gentle, so you can bathe here even with small children. The quality of water and services is confirmed by the international Blue Flag badge awarded to the beach.
There are toilets, picnic tables and benches here. For those who like sports, there is a beach volleyball court, and for children a themed playground with a whale skeleton made of wood. There is also a bar serving snacks and drinks during the summer season. The National Bicycle Trail No. 5 runs across the beach.
Albuen Beach was built in 1942 and the sand from the Trelde Næs headland was used. Since then, the beach has been renovated several times. incl. in 2005 and 2013
