Jorn Musuem

Lokaler Name: Museum Jorn

The art museum was founded by Asger Jorn, one of the leading Danish artists of the 20th century. It houses the second largest art collection in Denmark, including works by Jorn himself as well as by other eminent national and foreign artists. In total, the collection consists of over 30,000 exhibits by over 600 artists.

You can see works by members of the avant-garde art movement CoBrA and international artists who inspired Jorn's work. They include works by painters, sculptors and graphic artists such as Kirkeby, Francis Picabia, Lucio Fontana, Pablo Picasso, Jean Arp, Max Ernst, Jean Dubuffet, Pierre Alechinsky, Georg Baselitz, Andreas Slominski and Erwin Wurm.

In the courtyard, you can see two large ceramic walls donated by Jean Dubuffet and Pierre Alechinsky. There are also ceramic stones designed by Erik Nyholm.
