The history of this historic castle dates back to the mid-thirteenth century, the main building was built in the second half of the sixteenth century. Since 1737, it has been a noble monastery, inhabited by unmarried or widowed aristocrats. Only the castle gardens are open to visitors, the castle itself can only be viewed from the outside
Over the centuries, the castle has been rebuilt several times. It burnt down at the end of the 19th century and was almost completely rebuilt. Only the outer walls survived the fire, thanks to which the contemporary appearance of the castle is almost identical to the original one. The interior of the building was almost completely transformed - in the place of the castle chapel, knights' hall and royal rooms, 9 apartments were built for the castle's residents.
