A modern fountain is located on the waterfront. Unlike most fountains, it does not have a pool or any water table. It consists only of water jets that randomly release a water wall up to 2 m high.
The fountain was made by the Danish artist Jeppe Hein, and its structure symbolically refers to the starry sky over Aarhus.
