The "City on the Trail of Cultures", also known as the Borderland Town, has been established in the picturesque Biała Łada Valley since 2009. The estate, an idea of a local businessman Tadeusz Kuźmiński, is to refer to the traditional architecture of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Tourists can see, among others, Singer's House, a synagogue, an Orthodox church, two markets: Polish and Jewish, as well as sitar houses and a reconstruction of the palace of Stanisław Nowakowski - the former owner of the village.
The housing estate, referring to the appearance of the typical, multicultural borderland towns at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, is to fulfill a functional function in addition to tourist values. There will be commercial premises in houses with arcades and tenement houses, and apartments on the floors where you can live.
In 2017, the atypical housing estate developed by the Biłgoraj XXI Foundation received large funding. The money enabled the reconstruction of the water mill, as well as the construction of a restaurant with Jewish and borderland cuisine, as well as a hotel and a wellness center.
