Blackrock Diving Tower

The Blackrock Dive Tower is located in Galway's resort Salthill. It is a concrete structure used to make jumps into the sea. It is used by those who practice swimming in the open sea.

Blackrock is the name of a sports club and tourist and sports complex located in Salthill. It is intended for swimming in open sea waters. There is a beach with modern amenities and a pier with a jumping tower at the end.

The tower was built in the 1950s. In 2017, the authorities of Galway decided to thoroughly renovate it. It will be made available again to swimmers in the summer of 2018.
