Ленинский музей

Локальное имя: Lenin-museo

The Lenin Museum in Tampere is dedicated to the figure of Vladimir Lenin and the common past and history of Finland and the Soviet Union. It was founded in 1946 as the first museum of this type outside the USSR. It is also the only one that has survived to the present day - the remaining Lenin museums were closed in 1991-1993.

The Lenin Museum is located in the former Workers' House, where in 1905 Lenin's first historic meeting with Joseph Stalin took place. The permanent exhibition focuses mainly on Finnish-Soviet relations in the 20th century. There are both traditional exhibitions as well as multimedia displays and interactive exhibitions. You can, among others see life-size figures of Lenin and Stalin. There are also exhibitions devoted to everyday life during the Soviet era.
