Dr. Ion Vlad Arboretum

Dr. Ion Vlad's Arboretum is located at the entrance to the historic town of Alba Iulia. About 1,100 species of plants, both native and exotic, grow there. Due to the peaceful atmosphere, picturesque nature and numerous birds, the park is referred to as "Transylvania's landscape miracle".

There are numerous walking paths, alleys, bridges and footbridges in the arboretum. A sensory therapeutic avenue runs through the park. It is 140 m long and its surface is covered with various materials, incl. a mixture of sand, stones, pieces of wood, seeds and straw. One of the most picturesque bicycle paths in the country also runs here.

In the immediate vicinity of the park there is a spacious recreation and picnic area with barbecue areas, and an adventure park is located 500 m away.
