Palacio Podestà

Built in the 13th century, the palace used to be the seat of the government of Mantua. It was rebuilt in the 16th century at the request of the Gonzaga family after it was damaged by a fire. However, the medieval figure of Virgil placed in its facade and arched, late gothic windows survived.
