Museo de la montaña Messner Ripa

The museum was founded by the Italian mountaineer Reinhold Messner to introduce visitors to the history and nature of mountaineering, mountain science and the history of settlement in these areas. The facility has six branches. The headquarters are in Sigmundskron Castle, near Bolzano. The museum was opened on June 11, 2006.
