Catedral de andria

Cathedral dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, seat of the Bishop of Andria. In the 12th century it was built by the Normans on the site of an earlier small 7th-8th century church that makes up the present crypt. The style of the church is a combination of late gothic and baroque. The crypt, dedicated to the Holy Savior, contains the tombs of the two wives of Emperor Frederick II.
