Trulli de Alberobello

The area with the most preserved trullo buildings in the world, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The origin and age of the buildings are unknown. They are not found anywhere else in Europe. The meaning of some of the stone symbols ending some of the roofs is also unknown.
