The Church of Saint Francis Xavier is located in the center of Paris. It is a nineteenth-century temple with a two-tower facade. Above its central part there is a tympanum with a bas-relief depicting the patron saint. Inside, you can see the preserved body of Saint Magdalena Zofia Barat, founder of the Congregation of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, placed in a glass coffin.
The church was built in the years 1861-1863. Its shape refers to renaissance and classicist models. It is a three-nave temple with a transept and a small dome above the intersection of the naves. Inside, it is decorated with polychromes and half-columns with carved capitals.
