Castillo de Montreuil-Bellay

The fortress from the 11th century was inhabited and expanded over the following centuries. It remained unconquered until the religious wars of 1562-1598, when it was plundered and looted. Currently, it is a historic building, also known for the production of Château de Montreuil-Bellay wine.
