Castillo de Fougères-sur-Bièvre

Gothic fortified castle in the Loire Valley. It was rebuilt in the 15th century on the basis of an earlier fortress. Only the square tower has been preserved from the 11th century castle. The moat surrounding the building and the towers intended for artillery are still visible today.
