Museo de Arte de Kuopio

The Kuopio Art Museum is located in the city center in a building from the beginning of the 20th century, formerly home to the National Bank. In the 1920s, the building was expanded, and in 1958 its façade was restored. Currently, the museum collection consists of about 6,700 works and includes mainly Finnish art from the second half of the 19th century to the present day.

The Kuopio Art Museum has several collections dedicated to painting, photography and media art. You can see works by artists such as Leonard da Vilhu, Pekka Halonen, brothers Juho Rissanen and Von Wright.
