Parque Natural de las Sierras Subbéticas is a protected landscape area, recognized by UNESCO in 2006 as a Geopark (there are important sites of geological heritage). The most interesting phenomena in the park include: the "Lapiaz Los Lanchares" karst formations (karst ribs and nurseries), the "Polje de La Nava" plateau with an interesting karst sculpture and the prehistoric Bat Cave (natural monument).
