The Museum of World Cultures is a modern institution combining the collections of the Barcelona Ethnographic Museum and several foundations dealing with the art of Asia, Africa, the Americas, Australia and Oceania. Here you can see sculptures, paintings, jewelry, instruments and everyday items.
The museum was established in 2012 as a result of the amalgamation of collections scattered around Barcelona. The modern exhibition is supported by touch screens, projectors and audio-visual stands. Thanks to them, you can, for example, learn the pronunciation of rare languages, learn to prepare traditional dishes of various cuisines or listen to ethnic music.
The collection of the Museum focuses on the ethnic and religious diversity of the land. Walking through 35 rooms you can learn about the customs and traditions of people living all over the world.
