The center is located directly on the waterfront and combines exhibition and entertainment space. For adults there are exhibitions devoted to, among others protecting coasts against destructive sea power or the history of the Russian frigate "Alexander Nevsky", which sank in 1868 after running aground in Skagerrak.
Children will be interested in exhibitions of animals characteristic of West Jutland and a reptile terrarium. There is also a mini-zoo with goats, sheep and rabbits. Inside the center, there is a large space for conducting independent natural and scientific experiments, and outside there is a large playground decorated in the maritime theme. You can play on the first reef simulator in the country or keep your balance on a real surfboard used by rescuers.
