El centro medieval
Nombre local: Middelaldercentret
An archaeological museum with a living history allows visitors to travel to the reality of Denmark at the beginning of the 15th century. In its center is a reconstruction of a market town, where you can see traditional houses, craft workshops, market stalls and a port with ships of various sizes.
The museum employees are dressed in period costumes and in front of the visitors they perform daily activities - they cook, trade and deal with traditional crafts. The museum also has an arsenal of weapons from the Middle Ages and Renaissance, and around 100 demonstration tournaments are held during the tourist season. You can then watch the duels of knights in authentic armor fighting with swords, spears and lances.
It is also worth seeing an exhibition devoted to legends and folk superstitions, and a technology park where inventions of the time are reconstructed.
