El museo naval real danés
Nombre local: The Royal Danish Naval Museum
The museum is dedicated to the history of the Royal Danish Navy. The collections include collections of uniforms, weapons, navigation instruments and ship models used by the Navy at the end of the 17th century.
The collection of ships consists of several hundred exhibits, from armed ships through port models to artificial rock models. The oldest model comes from the mid-1660s and shows the ship decorated with the image of Niels Juel, a Danish-Norwegian admiral who lived in the 17th century and is considered a national hero. Ship models are made with all the details, as most of them were used as construction models. The collection is complemented by several modern models of modern ships.
For children there is an indoor playground located in the basement of the museum. It was designed to resemble a miniature dock and a pirate ship.
