The fountain was unveiled in 1883 to commemorate the third anniversary of the death of Miguel Iscar - mayor of Valladolid. The image of fame is the work of the Spanish sculptor Mariano Chicote Recio. The monumental building is a showcase of the most characteristic city park - Campo Grande de Valladolid.
